"Platina Parlour is a new concept of butler cafe that based on Otome Game experience. The Cafe will be maintained by 10 butlers. The guest will be treated as Young lady or Young Master of the House. The experience inside the cafe will mimic Otome game's story route with the probability of getting good ending or bad ending.

Beside the service from the butler, we're also providing various of cute merchandise of the butler (2D & 3D version) with high quality artworks, such as phonestraps, badges, prints, photo collections, drama CD, etc. Platina Parlour will have its own comic series, titled "The Journal of Platina Parlour", that will be serialized in re:ON comics starting this July. The comic itself will tell about the butler's daily life and their activity inside the cafe."

Platina Parlour collaborated with Anicult Surabaya to hold its 5th event there. I've always wanted to visit Platina Parlour for the longest time. Like no exaggeration, but I've been peeling my eyes for them since 2012 on their first event in WTC! But since I have such teribble luck, it seems like the world is so against me going here. That aside, I finally managed to visit Platina Parlour for starter. :") I'm one happy person. As a first timer, I was soooooo excited. I could feel adrenaline pumping and I just went all yolo-swaggity-sweg upon entering that cafe. I reserved for Ken's afternoon shift and Rei's last evening shift. I went in with my friends and it was great!

Ken

Ken is the 'normal' type. He is basically the perfect balance of the whole chaotic personas in Platina Parlour. Ken has mad respect for Riku and has Sei as his adorable kouhai. I find that totally cute, btw. Talking to him was great, even though I would love more character from him </3 I like my butlers sassy c":

We got to play "choose the card" game. So, the game is about picking Ken's pictures among the shuffled stack, but if we choose the wrong one (e.g. Kou's or Riku's), we have to mimic the butler from the picture we wrongly picked as punishment. Both my friend and I picked the wrong one, so we have to do the punishment. She must mimic Riku and I have to mimic Kai. I was very embarassed, I SWEAR. *proceed to cringe loudly*

After that, there's Rei. Rei is the kuudere of the bunch. His words are daaaaamn spicy ;_; I-I was a little hurt because of his kuu-ness. I know, what was I expecting from a kuudere? ;;_;; His words are like, I don't know, a friggin blade just stabbing me right in the guts. :"c I was hurt desuyo /cringes But other than his occasional mean attitude, he was actually hilarious to hang with. All thanks to Mizu and Kagami, who are like the pros in Platina Parlour. God knows how many times they've been to Platina Parlour before, countless, I bet. :")))

Since it was the last shift, we got to see some 'special' scenes C; it waasss adorable and urgh-- I can't even <3 It's about Shuu getting hella drunk because of the 'secret potion' Sei brewed as an experiment. Shuu trying to get all 'seme' towards Riku and stuff c:< And all the run-away bride swiggity-swag. Urgh these people *laughs like a maniac* In the end, Rei and Sei did a moe-moe-kyun movement for us, which is adorableeeeeee _(:"""D 1 L)_ /dies Ci Kate also did it too because Rei is such a butthead for not doing it properly. GDI, Rei. :"U

Loots I received from Platina Parlour are an A3 poster of the whole Platina Parlour cast, 2 Re:On Comic books Vol. 7, 2 butler badges and 2 keychains. <3 I really enjoyed them and I managed to read the whole Re:On comic book on my way back to Jakarta.

Both the butler and managerial team did a wonderful job putting up together this event! I applaude you guys for making the Anicult event a little brighter, because frankly the event would be meeeeeh without you tweeps <3 Looking forward to their next event! I really want to hang around with Riku, Kai and Yui later \o\ Notify me if they're making another event, okay? Last 2 weeks I attended Anicult in Surabaya! It was in fact, my very first convention within Indonesia, excluding Jakarta. I totally went all bananas on this trip, for sure. My friend, Ryuuka, and I went on a plane on Saturday dawn. Totally exhausted after the flight, we still went anyway and got ready for Anicult day 1.

-- DAY 1 --

On day 1, we decided not to cosplay, just being casual and to chill with friends <3 The venue was pretty confusing and not quite ideal. To be honest, I was pretty disappointed of the venue. There are lots of space but not much booths selling merchs, etc. It was pretty empty, to be completely honest. Other than the emptiness of the event, there are still cool things to check out around the event. There are itashas (modified anime cars), artist alleys where people sell their fanarts and figurine stores.

Meanwhile on the main stage, we got to see all the beautiful judges in real life. They're real pretty IRL, no exaggeration. Well... Maybe a little. c": To get into the main stage, you have to purchase the ticket a.k.a. the wristband 'ticket' to get through. I noticed that a lot, A LOT, of people who didn't were able to get into the stage very easily. I guess, I bought this 'special' ticket for IDR 150,000,- for nothing then. 0_0;;

In the evening, I went over to Platina Parlour cafe to eat and enjoy some company from the lovely butlers there since I already made 2 reservations that day. I'll post more details on my first visit to this butler cafe on my future post c: Promise <3

The day ended quickly with me helping my friend to collect the autographs of the guest stars. I was extremely nervous to meet them, double the adrenaline for Sara ;;_;;

-- DAY 2 --

On day 2, I cosplayed as Watanabe Mayu of AKB0048, which is very coincidental since many of my friends also went as idols from different animes too! The world is too damn small, huh. I also met an Oshima Yuko cosplayer, who then I traded coscard with <3

After going around the empty hall again and again, I just couldn't take the heat anymore. I mean, the costume itself is hella thick and the skirt is too puffy, it knocked some merchandises of someone's table. (Sorry;;;;) I then went to change and helped with my friend's booth, PUINE, together with Nini <3 I requested a Maleficent in a bottle from PUINE booth <3 Basically the only merch I purchased in Anicult, lol.

In the CosWalk competition, 3 of my friends managed to get themselves into the finals. Though they didn't win it, they got the loudest cheer from all. (I'm pretty sure I'm the loudest of all, sorry not sorry :9)

Basically on day 2, I just turned into a goofball and just trolled around in my Mayuyu cosplay. It was really fun though c: <3 With that, I immediately went straight to the airport and caught my flight to Jakarta.

VERDICT?

To be completely honest, I wouldn't go to Surabaya specifically for this event. Not that I went there to see around the event or something like that anyways. The schedule is poorly managed and even the MC can't be professional about it. There are times when the handing out of prize was so jumbled up and it's completely bananas. So, if they're going to hold another Anicult event in 2015, I beg you to please, please be professional about it. The place is poorly decorated and the security was like they're not even there! Hire a better MC, would you? Maybe someone who can speak fluent English or basic Japanese. I could make a list of all the flaws this event has, but I won't since I'm too lazy to do that :"D

Please, hold an audition for the MC or something. I would like to apply if there is going to be one.
