CLAS:H Grand Final 2014
Hey guys! I'm going to share with you my experience to CLAS:H 2014 Grand Final~ CLAS:H is short for Cosplay Live-Action Show : Hybrid. It's an annual cosplay competition that took places in many cities like Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, etc. So winners from each cities are going to compete against each other on the Grand Final stage, which is held in Balai Kartini Kartika Expo, Jakarta. The ultimate winner of CLAS:H will be represent Indonesia in WCS (World Cosplay Summit), which is a whole another level - like international scale cosplay showdown! How awesome is that? /o/
I arrived on the venue around 11.30 a.m., but I helped my friend, Aoki, to do his makeup first. He cosplayed as Hinata from Haikyuu. I think I did a pretty decent job <3 owo)/*

Basically, the place is divided into 2 sections, the main stage and booth area. The main stage is extremely crowded by the time we got there, so we decided to just hang around in the booth area.

I noticed that there's this long, long queue happening in front of a booth. At first, I didn't know who was there, but it turned out to be Aza Miyuko's signing session! I was like soooooo desperate to meet her. I quickly asked the photobook sellers whether they have any photobook left. They only got 2 left of the AZA001 book and told me to hurry if I really want to buy it. Since I'm literally panicking, I asked my friends for advice whether to buy it or not. They also told me to buy it if I really, really want it. And so I did. But by the time I got back to the booth, the person before me bought the last 2 photobook. And I got none. I was really, really depressed after that. :c But things got so much better after that!
Turns out my friend, Minato Whitey, bought 2 types of Aza's photobook, the AZA001 and AZA002. Since she only need one to get 2shot with Miyuko, she 'lent' me her book so I can take a picture with Miyuko ;;A;; (P.S. Thank you so much, Whitey! I'm so indebted with you ;;_;;) After that, I queued for a good 20mins to take a picture with Miyuko. I even prepared myself with some Korean phrases, like how to say thank you, how to compliment her by saying "you're so cute", and all that shenanigans. Not only I could feel butterflies in my stomach, I feel like they are squirming around and urghhhhh I was shaking bad. BAD.
Candid AZA ;;///u///;; still so perf.

After taking the pictures, I have so many korean phrases jumbled up in my head, but I could only say 감사합니다, which translates as "Thank you" in a formal way. :") And she replied with a smile, and I swear it was so cute ;;_;; i-i wish I have an ability to take pictures through my eyes sometimes. (Big thanks to Whitey again for realizing this!)
With Miyuko's first signing session ended, I just walked around the booth areas like few rounds and bumped into lots of cosplayer friends. There were times when I'm way too hungry I bought a hotdog, "yakisoba" and shaved ice. (But I didn't finished it @_@ welp.) And then, we sat down for a good hour before venturing around the area again. Basically, that's what I did for the whole event, lol.
Not sure if yakisoba or "yakisoba"
Around 5 p.m., I entered the main stage area and sat down to watch Redshift + Diasta's performance with the collaboration of the Senpasen Boyz. After their heart-pumping performances, Daikonsky's Kingdom Hearts performance was up. It really takes back to listen to the soundtracks and the english voice acting. They truly performed well and everything was in sync. Even though a malfunction did happen (Vanitas's keyblade went all limp, maybe broken foundation inside?), they really pulled through and kept in character all the time. It was sooo awesome! I'm going to link down their Kingdom Hearts video so you guys know what I'm talking about.
Basically that's the highlights of the day. I went back home early (around 6p.m.) because I don't feel well and I don't want to go home late too. I can't stop smiling while sorting out the selfies I took and the coscards I got on that day. It was great even though I wasn't cosplaying. To meet wonderful friends and seeing a cute Korean idol were worth the trip. Thank you, everybody! お疲れ様でした~ owo)/
